Media Fragment

Media Fragment
Media Fragments
Paragraphs, datasets, images, topic maps, glossaries… that go into forming one or more document(s). Those media fragments may exist in a file, in a local database, in a private or public web service… it should not matter. But they have an identifier (URI) which should ideally act as a handle (URL.) Note on topic mapping: the media fragments may be referred to as topics, and quite possibly contain (and expose) occurrences of known topics, which may exist yet elsewhere. But Media Fragments are a distinct category from topics/concepts.
